Settle is our local Market town. This attractive Traditional Dales town is full of character, historic buildings and old world charm. There are plenty of shops and a weekly market on Tuesdays. A short walk up Castleberg crag provides magnificent views. There is a swimming pool, the famous Naked Man Cafe and of course it is the start point for the Settle to Carlisle Railway. Settle also has its own thriving Theatre and Golf Course.
Next door to Settle is Giggleswick village and Giggleswick Public School with its famous chapel and observatory.
Villages to visit include Slaidburn in the Forest of Bowland, Malham, Stainforth and Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales. Malham has the magnificent Cove, Janet's Foss waterfall and Gordale Scar. Grassington probably the most attractive village in the Dales has a fine village square and riverside strolls. Stainforth close to Settle has its own spectacular waterfall.
Other market towns to visit are Skipton and Clitheroe both with Castles and Museums to visit, along with fine shopping and markets.
