TestimonialsMay10 - The Allewell family - The cottage is set amidst fabulous views from Ingleborough to Pendle hill. Surrounded by farm land with country animals - hundreds of lambs! The cottage catered admirably for all our needs, everything to make us comfortable and at ease. May 10 - The Johnsons - We have had a lovely relaxing time the cottage, cosy and homely. Bed very comfy! Can't believe all the variety of birds you have, been enjoyable to watch. Enjoyed White Scar caves and had a good 4 hour walk around Ingleton Waterfalls trail. May 10 - The James hen party - We loved the cottage and the location was perfect for a girls relaxing weekend. The cows were fab and the lambs gorgeous. We had fantastic weather and all got sunburnt but we all enjoyed spending time in the peace and quiet. Will recommend and would love to come back, thank you. April 10 - A huge thankyou to Richard & Jacky for their hospitality and allowing extra visitors for 2 days. We have all had a super week, including watching cow milking and feeding the lambs. We look forward to seeing you again soon. April 10 - Higgins Clan - We have felt very much at home in this excellent cottage - a haven of peace amongst wonderful surroundings. There is a real touch of quality about his place, thank you. Your cows are very sweet! I nearly packed a couple of the smaller ones into the boot! I can't believe how much they grew in a week. Excellent cycling in Gisburn forest, very comfortable accommodation. April 10 - The Mathers - The house was good accommodation and watching the sheep and lambs has been fascinating. The wildlife is interesting, spring has been progressing all week and the lambs and baby rabbits have grown noticeably. The house is very well equipped and warm. The conservatory is fantastic. March 10 - The Parker family - Yet again a lovely relaxing weekend in Bent House - our warm and cosy home from home. Weather great, feels like spring is here. See you in the autumn now probably. March 10 - The Mandy family - Fantastic cosy cottage, views breathtaking. Will return soon. Feb 10 - Richard & Lisa - House and setting warm & welcoming and characterful. Great weather, stunningly beautiful countryside. Jacky & Richard very welcoming. This has been a very special week, wonderful holiday. New Year 10 - We had a wonderful snowy New Year. Great home, lovely views. Thank you very much. Xmas 09 - The Parker family - What can I say! Absolutely perfect in every way. Picture postcard snowy views only added to a magical xmas. Thanks to Jacky & Richard for all their help and kindness. See you next year! Dec 09 - The Pamper club - Great stay, want to live here all the time! The cottage and views only added to our yearly get together. Wine, laughter, tears and friends. Here's to another stay in your beautiful cottage soon. Nov 09 - The Priors & friends - Splendid! We saw Dunnock & Kestrels, and also heard barn owls - toowit-toowoo! Nov 09 - The Tillings - We invited Anne's sister & her husband to come as our guests and are delighted we could share such a super cottage with tghem. We love the spacious bedrooms, sitting rooms and kitchen especially in the evenings when the wood burner is aglow. The conservatory is a joy for bird watching, even when the rain falls. Nov 09 - The Bury family - Our third visit this year to this lovely farmhouse in a peaceful and picturesque setting with wonderful views for miles around. We've enjoyed Skipton Auction Mart, a visit to Settle and Lisa & Martyn walked Whernside which was covered in snow. Have all enjoyed our cosy nights by the fire and breakfasts in the conservatory. Oct 09 - The Vosper family & friends - Superb holiday, fab location, spacious and comfortable. We will miss Alvin & his tribe! Settle is simply lovely as was the train ride to Carlisle. The cheese factory at Hawes is worth a visit and the ride from there to Ribblehead Viaduct is breathtaking. Oct 09 - The Bolus family - The cottage was lovely, we have had a lovely time and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. A fantastic location for the Three Peaks! Oct 09 - The Duffields - A lovely surprise weekend away and it couldn't have been better! Fabulous accommodation, beautiful views and so much to see (wish we could have stayed longer). Spectacular walks from Malham to Gordale Scar and Malham Cove. Thank you for sharing your house for the weekend. Oct 09 - The Stephensons & friends - The area is new to us, so the quietness and the unspoiled beauty of our surroundings have made this a memorable holiday. Settle especially and also Appleby are fine tiowns and ought to be visited and enjoyed at a leisurely pace. The circular walk around Stocks Reservoir is long enough for a winter walk and the landscape is very fine. Sept 09 - The French family - A truly wonderful stay. Loved the quaint little villages. Went to see the goats every morning and look at the stunning views from the conservatory as the mist cleared. Thankyou for the wonderful tour, especially seeing the gorgeous little calves and of course Alvin! Thanks for the tour of the farm - sheep farmer to sheep farmer, a highlight of the holiday. Sept 09 - The Popely family - We had a very pleasant week, the cottage is a warm, cost place and a great base for touring this fantastic part of England. Many thanks Jacky & Richard for your welcome and help. Sept 09 - The Waggett family - Many thanks to Jacky & Richard for sharing this fab place. We had a wonderful week, the local walks are great - exhausting but the views are worth it! We have enjoyed morning coffee in the conservatory and Murray has had a great time running around in the fields. Will be recommending it to friends and family. Hope all goes well with the calves. Aug 09 - M. Odic & family from France - We had a beautiful week in this cottage. It's so quiet, so beautiful. We hope to return soon. Thank you. Aug 09 - The Warrens - We've all had a wonderful week, the farmhouse was a perfecdt spot from which to explore the beautiful countryside. The children loved feeding the chickens each morning and the holiday will be remembered for a long time to come, thank you. Aug 09 - The Redfern family - This place is quite amazing to be honest. It's big & spacious - a perfect place for animals. Thank you for letting us share your beautiful area with us. It was a privilege to stay here. I would happily come hear again. July 09 - Ms Broadbent & friends - Very enjoyable holiday, good centre for visiting the area. We have been very comfortable and slept like tops - must be the country air!! Thank you. July 09 - The Gibbs family from Australia - Well worth coming around the world for! We came looking to experience something of a different way of life from that in suburbian Sydney and it was a truly wonderful week. The house was perfect, the scenery divine and learning about life on a farm was an experience we shall treasure forever. July 09 - The Coe family - Beautiful house and setting, Jacky & Richard made us feel very welcome. Plenty so see & do, had a really enjoyable week, didn't want it to end! Highlight visit for Peter (Dad) was to Old Trafford! Ethan enjoyed going on a boat on Lake Windermere, Kye enjoyed collecting the eggs and feeding the hens & riding on a steam train. Cookie loved the sheep and rabbits. July 09 - The Allard-Austin family - The cottage was wonderful, a home from home. The views are spectacular! Loved hiking and taking the dogs for long walks. Our thanks go out to Jacky & Richard for making us feel so welcome. Plenty of room for our family & friends. May09 - Parker family "We had a lovely weekend! Apr-09 The Dowling family Cheshire, Have had such a lovely time here and are looking forward to coming again. The farmhouse is homely and we have felt very welcome here. The views are spectacular and the peace and quiet has been wonderful. The children have loved the days trips on the steam train to Bolton Abbey and Malham Cove and seeing the cows and goats on the farm. Apr-09 Mr & Mrs Fedyt Wolverhampton, What a wonderful place, go visit Stocks Reservoir; a 5 hour walk with wonderful views. Apr-09 The Thompson family Doncaster, Had a wonderful time here, we came with the intention of having a quiet week playing with the children and enjoying time as a family and we weren't disappointed. This is a wonderful place, a true home from home with everything we could have needed here! Our children have awaited Jacky's arrival every morning to help her collect the eggs and feed the hens, have loved the calves and goats. Very sad to be leaving today and will definitely be back.
